Introduction the collection of skates K2 2018/2019
Let us to introduce you new collection of inline skates K2 for season 2018. Collection of inline skates K2 consists from wider spectrum of models, but each model is intended for other skill category from beginners up to sport skaters or lovers of skating in skatepark or in the city.
Category K2 Fitness and K2 X-training
These are skates intended mostly for cyclo paths. They are suitable for recreational and conditioning ride, where you want the same as at running to burn the calories and higher your sport shape. Collection is unexpectably simple, it is divided into three categories depends on size of wheels and each category has 2, maximally 3 models. The selection is so easy, beginner can choose from two models, little advanced other two models with larger wheels 84 mm and more advanced fitness skater can choose from 3 models, where two of them are different only at fastening system. At K2 then you have always easy choice and you don´t need to hesitate between 5 similar models, simply if you want wheels 84 mm, you can choose from two models, where one has speed-lace and other system Boa. Finished... selection is really very simple. But of course there are less quality SMU models, models made usually made for strings out of catalogue K2, quality is then much lower.
This is the most selling type of skates, where the emphasis is placed mostly on comfort and ventilation. It is expected mostly the ride straight on cyclo path, as alternative to running or bicycling.
Basic row with 80 mm wheels
These are the slowest skates from the whole collection. Row has only 2 models of skates which are different only in fastening system. They are intended mostly for beginners and not demanding recreational skaters looking for quality and comfortable skates.
1. inline skates K2 F.I.T. 80 Pro and K2 Alexis 80 Pro
Basic and the cheapest model from the colection K2 Originals, has many technologies of brand K2. It need to be menioned mostly breathable mesh material on the upper of shoe, sewed support of vault, which significantly highers comfort, or fast-tying system K2 Speed Lace. Skates have universal little wider cut, but they can be tightened even on thinner leg, thanks to soft shoe and easy fastening. Good support ensures shoe with support Stability Cuff (upper part of plastic construction).
For skates is specific composite frame (plastic composite) and smaller, softer wheels with diameter 80 mm (the smallest and the slowest wheels used today for common skating). Both ensure calm slower ride with good muting of uneven surfaces. Ideal choice for beginners, who are looking for quality, comfort, but also look at the price, or recreational skaters, who sometimes ride and are o.k. with calmer ride. On the other hand skates are not so much suitable for regular trainng riding, more advanced skaters (requiring higher speed) or more heavy and power skaters.
Advantages: Good comfort, easy maneuverability and stability, price.
Disadvantages: Slower ride, soft wheels and plastic frame are not suitable for more heavy and power skaters

Tip: From experience you don´t need to be afraid, that plastic frames from K2 would crackle, if you don´t have 120 kg or the elephant doesn´t step on skates. Frames hold and don´t crackle, on the other hand thanks to quality composite they often have higher endurance than thin aluminium frames at cheaper skates. For beginners, recreational or average weight or lighter skaters can be frame from plastic composite from K2 perfectly sufficient.
2. inline skates K2 F.I.T. 80 Boa and K2 Alexis 80 Boa
Technically the same skates as previous model, but equipped with system Boa (fast-tying system with rope by help of wheel), which makes fastening of skate on leg easier. Material of rope is in this case from resistant synthetic fiber.
Advantages: Good comfort, easy maneuverability and stability, comfortable tying.
Disadvantages: Slower ride, soft wheels and plastic frame are not suitable for heavier and power skaters

Follow-up row with larger wheels with diameter 84 mm
1. inline skates K2 F.I.T. 84 Pro and K2 Alexis 84 Pro
Follow-up model belongs to the very popullar. A degree larger wheels with diamter 84mm ensure little faster ride, but are still o.k. for beginner too.
Quality frame from alloy of aluminium is also suitable even for heavier or power skaters. Skates having comparing to previous models padded and more comfortable foam linings (insole in skate).
They have relativelly universal cut and can be easily adapted to the shape of leg. Construction stays the same, higher shoe with support Stability Cuff. Women´s has comparing to men´s more cut calf, to protect from blisters (women have calf anatomically placed lower).
Wheels are very soft, hardness 80A, good mute uneven surfaces and are adhesive, comfortable. On the other hand at heavier or power skaters they have shorter wear and tear. Very comfortable breathable shoe with sewed support of vault is probably the most comfortable in their category (skates with wheels 84 mm).
Speed can be higher by putting of more solid wheels and faster bearings after wear and tear of previous ones. Maximal size of wheels is 90 mm. Skates K2 F.I.T. 84 Pro and K2 Alexis 84 Pro are then suitable also for little advanced, eventually for advanced skaters, who from the beginning are not looking for higher speed, but consider that they would welcome higher speed in the future. Of course is no problem in the future to stay with smaller wheels. Skates are faster than models K2 with 80 mm wheels, still they are the second smallest used wheels in the market, they are more faster than 80 mm wheels, lovers of high speed then want higher models with larger wheels 90 mm+or wheels in the future will put on. Comparing to models with 90 mm wheels they are different in construction, which comes from models with name F.I.T. and Alexis, the higher shell with support comparing to lower more flexible construction Vortech, which we will find at higher models. Difference is minor, not essential.
Advantages: Top comfort (belong to the most comfortable in category of skates with 84 mm wheels), quality of processing, sewed support of vault, foam insoles, skates can have regular load, still great maneuverability and stability.
Disadvantages: For somebody softer wheels 80A (mainly heavier men or lovers of aggressive power style or faster ride - don´t forget, wheels are thing consuming and they can be changed after wear and tear for better ones). Quality bearings, though don´t belong to the fastest ones.

Tip: Relatively universal skates, which you don´t want to take off after putting them on and after trying of comfort you will not want the skates from other brand. Softer wheels with diameter 84 mm and hardness 80A offer pleasant ride, they don´t belong to the fastest ones. Ideal choice for normal recreational and conditioning skating without requirements for high speed.
2. inline skates K2 F.I.T. 84 Boa and K2 Alexis 84 Boa
With construction and comfort the same as previous inline skates K2 F.I.T. 84 Pro and K2 Alexis 84 Pro, have although few little disadvantages.
Primarily faster bearings Twincam ILQ 7, which are the best in category of skates with 84 mm wheels (bearings can be after wear and tear exchanged for better ones, they sholdn´t play the main role at choosing the skates).
More comfortable tying Boa. Material of rope is in this case from resistant synthetic fiber.
Next the advantage is possibility of putting on larger 90 mm wheels, by which you can make skates much more faster in the future, but thanks to this little less stabile and maneuverable (will recognize probably little advanced skater or beginner, good skater won´t see the difference).
Variable also for skaters, who want to get better (possibility to put on larger wheels or stay at smaller ones). More comfortable tying with system Boa. Skates suitable also for more experienced skaters, who can´t have because of price, skates K2 with 90 mm wheels. Very universal skates, not suitable only probably for lovers of fast speed. They have softer wheels with good muting, but probably suitable for heavier and power skaters, higher cut of shoe and construction Stability Cuff. Women´s model has comparing to men´s more cut calf, to protect form blisters (women have calf anatomically placed lower).
Advantages: Top comfort, tying Boa, possibility to put on 90 mm wheels, sewed support of vault, foam insoles, skate can bear regular load, quality and fast bearings.
Disadvantages: For someone softer wheels 80A (mostly heavier men, or lovers of aggressive power style of ride - don´t forget, wheels are thing comsumable and you can exchange them after wear and tear for better ones). Less maneuverable thanks to longer frame, which is prepared for 90 mm wheels, thanks to which skates are less suitable for total beginners (generally said, of course it always depends on condition and sport talent of skater).

Higher row with 90 mm wheels
The highest row with name K2 Vo2 is suitable for more demanding skaters requiring perfect and fresh skates for common fitness riding on cyclo path. Skates have over-worked construction and cut, thanks to which they are little more comfortable. Of course there is reinforcement with shaped memory. They also have more resistant wheels (hardness 83A), faster bearings (ILQ9) and more rigid frame (with mixture of titan). The most selling skates from our offer. Somebody will not like the price. Larger wheels are not suitable for total beginners or not very experienced skaters. But any common skater can skate on them, middle advanced skater, who doesn´t want to have a lot of work on them and want to have a fresh ride. Suitable for faster fitness on cyclo path, trainings and conditioning skating.
1. inline skates K2 Vo2 90 Pro Men and K2 Vo2 90 Pro Women
Skates have comparing to previous models over-worked construction Vortech. Construction of skates K2 Vortech perfectly ventilates thanks to built-in air canals at the bottom of skate.
Skates have middle wide cut, which perfectly encircles foot and can very good adjust to narrower and also wider leg. Cuff (upper part of skelet) has larger cut in part of calf and softer flex than previous, thanks to which skates are suitable also for sport riding in the foreground. Middle solid wheels 83A with diameter 90 mm and top bearings Twincam ILQ9 ensure fast and comfortable ride, with still good muting of uneven surfaces. More demanding skaters can in future put on skates also more solid wheels. Upper material is the most breathable from all offered models. Skates belong to the best ventilated skates in the market.
Advantages: One of the most comfortable skates (maybe the most comfortable), excellent bearings ILQ9 (the fastest in category of skates with 90 mm wheels), excellent breathability, higher speed at saving sufficient maneuverability and stability, foam insoles, sof flex.
Disadvantages: Wheels with hardness 83A belong in their category (skates with 90 mm wheels) more to softer - heavier and aggressive power skaters wheels can shorter wear and tear, thanks to higher speed not inappropriate for total beginners, higher buying price.

2. In-line skates K2 Vo2 90 Boa Men and K2 Vo2 90 Boa Women
Skates are the same as previous model, they are different only in system of tying Boa. Comparing to lower models (synthetic fiber) is material of tightening rope from steel.
Advantages: One of the most comfortable skates (maybe the most comfortable), excellent bearings ILQ9 (the fastest in category of skates with 90 mm wheels), excellent breathability, higher speed at saving sufficient maneuverability and stability, tying boa with steel rope, foam insoles, soft flex.
Disadvantages: Wheels with hardness 83A belong in their category (skates with 90 mm wheels) more to softer - heavier and aggressive power skaters wheels have shorter wear and tear, thanks to higher speed not suitable for total beginners, higher buying price.

3. In-line skates K2 Vo2 100 X Pro
Skates are with comfort, construction and quality wheels and bearings the same as previous models K2 Vo2. They have tying K2 Speed Lace.
They are different at size of wheels than model K2 Vo2 100 X Pro has in front 2 wheels with diameter 90 mm and at the back 2 wheels with diameter 100 mm. They are little faster than models with 90 mm wheels, at the same time they are good maneuverable (visibly more maneuverable than skates with wheels 4x 100 mm). Two smaller wheels in front make centre of gravity lower and make shorter frame, which you can see in better stability and maneuverability. Heel is higher than toe which makes you to ride in foreground and fast aceleration. Disadvantage can be faster wear and tear of wheels, where is more weight and higher buying price.

Skates with wheels 100 mm, 110mm and 125 mm, Freeskate/Urban, Aggressive, Children´s collection
Collection of skates K2 continues with other skates with larger wheels or skates intended to the city, for children or to the skatepark. Many of these models of skates K2 you can also use for normal ride on cyclo path, on so called fitness skating. But they are intended for more specific skating styles and they have specific character (f.e. more solid and stabile shoe with short maneuverable frame at skates for freeskate, large wheels at skates for training/race etc.).
Often then differencies between each categories can hide according to customer´s requirements. F.e. skater, who plays often ice hockey and is used to maneuverable hockey skates can be on cyclo path and also at normal "fitness„ ride with girlfriend more satisfied with more solid and more maneuverable urban skates, which have more solid shoe and they offer better support and maneuverability similar to hockey skates etc. Choice is then always according to customer´s needs. All recommendations then are for basic orientation between each models and don´t have to be always 100% directional.
