IQON ACT AG Jaro Frijn
Born and raised in Amsterdam, I started inline skating when I was five, together with my brother Mika Frijn. By the time I was seven, I entered my first competition, and from that moment, skating became a big part of my life. My weekends were spent on the road with my parents, traveling to events. Every day after school I’d be out skating, even when the skatepark was wet.
At fifteen, I placed third at Junior Winterclash 2016, my first major competition. Since then, my goals have become clear. Now, as I work toward my first pro skate, I hope it inspires younger skaters to keep pushing and most of all, have fun with it.
After years of skating in a more flexible boot, switching to Iqon was the change I needed. The ACT skate was stiffer and heavier, which gave me a different kind of control. For my pro skate, I wanted to find a balance, something in between the flex of the USD Aeon and the stiffness of the ACT. Lets call this the slightly more flexible version of the ACT. ;)
For the colorway, I kept it simple and neutral, something that works for almost everyone. I chose Undercover Apex wheels because I love to skate fast, whether I’m in the street or at the park.

The Iqon ACT AG Jaro Frijn aggressive inline skate translates this personal vision into a highly refined technical platform built for modern aggressive skating. Based on the ACT boot architecture, the skate combines durability, precise control, and responsive flex, creating a setup designed to perform equally well in demanding street environments and technical park skating.
At the center of the skate is the ACT AG hardboot, a composite shell construction engineered to deliver structural stability while maintaining a carefully tuned flex profile. Compared to the original ACT concept, the Jaro Frijn edition introduces a slightly more forgiving flex characteristic. This modification creates a balanced feel between supportive stiffness and controlled mobility, enabling confident landings, responsive carving, and smooth execution of technical tricks. Reinforced sliding areas and a durable soulplate ensure reliable grind performance and long-term durability in aggressive environments.
A key innovation of this pro model is the introduction of UFS+, the next-generation evolution of the Universal Frame System. Traditional UFS mounting has long been based on a fixed 167 mm mounting distance, which restricts how frames can be engineered. UFS+ expands this concept by introducing an adjustable mounting range from 167 mm up to 200 mm. This extended platform gives frame designers significantly more freedom when developing aggressive frames. By shifting mounting hardware outside of the wheel path, it becomes possible to create lower wheel configurations than previously achievable, allowing for reduced ride height, improved stability, and more efficient energy transfer. The result is a cleaner frame interface that opens the door to innovative frame geometries and advanced aggressive setups, establishing a new technological foundation for the future of inline skate frame design.
Inside the shell, the skate uses the MYFIT Prime liner, a heat-moldable liner designed to adapt precisely to the skater’s foot shape. Thermal customization allows the liner to conform to pressure zones and anatomical contours, improving comfort and enhancing power transmission. This personalized fit helps maintain control during high-impact landings and technical trick execution while ensuring comfort during extended skating sessions.
The skate is equipped with the Iqon AG60 frame, a strong and responsive aggressive frame designed around a classic 4x60 mm wheel setup. This configuration offers the maneuverability and balance required for aggressive skating disciplines, allowing riders to maintain precise control when approaching rails, ledges, and transitions.
For maximum speed and responsiveness, the setup features Undercover Apex wheels in 60 mm / 88A with Ultra High Rebound (UHR) urethane. The UHR compound provides excellent energy return and maintains rolling speed while still offering the durability required for repeated impacts and abrasive surfaces. Paired with Wicked ABEC 9 chrome steel bearings, the wheel system delivers smooth rotation, high precision, and reliable durability for aggressive skating.
Together, the tuned ACT shell, the performance-focused aggressive setup, and the forward-looking UFS+ mounting technology define the Iqon ACT AG Jaro Frijn as a modern pro model designed for skaters who demand precision, adaptability, and speed from their aggressive inline skates.
